Ray & Wendy Hull saw a growing demand for LGP dozers in Western Australia in the late 1980’s. In 1989 they formed Raywell Contracting purchased Western Australia’s first brand new Caterpillar D6H LGP dozer.
By the early 1990's Raywell Contracting was providing swamp dozers for Alcoa residue areas and sand mines across WA. The fleet slowly grew and extended to D7 LGP dozers, excavators and eventually dump trucks, water carts and loaders.
By now the company grew large enough to require 15 full time HD diesel mechanics and a dedicated workshop. Raywell Contracting purchased a workshop in Pinjarra for maintenance, overhauls and repairs and was their home for almost 15 years. In April 2016, Raywell Contracting moved into their purpose built new workshop in Pinjarra with modern facilities, gantry crane, better site access and environmentally friendly wash down system.
The team has grown but their philosophies have stayed the same. Friendly service backed up by excellent knowledge with a hands on approach has proved to be a successful formula for the many projects they have assisted with throughout the state.
